SOWERS is a group of passionate Christians drawn together (from diverse denominations) with a passion to see the kingdom of the Lord Jesus and our dear Father established on earth. Our Hearts are filled with deep-rooted compassion for the lost souls in our nations and we continuously give ourselves to the course of librating them from the gross darkness and deprivation that has enslaved them for several ages. Through the immense support of our dear partner, The Holy Spirit, we are making good progress in the calling, Sowers has reached over 27 tribes in 6 nations in 10 years and has chapters in over 20 chapters in 5 nations.

SOWERS started in 2001 in the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) when a group of young students under the mentorship of Dr. Dan Ozioko began staying back during semester holidays and breaks to take the gospel to the unreached communities within the senatorial district using pantomimes and creative ministrations as medium of communication. They were known as Sowers Theatre. Many wondrous works were wrought by the Holy Spirit through their sacrificial ministry and through successive generations of Sowers Theatre in UNN and the continues involvement of the alumni in the ministry, the mission group has continued to grow in impact and reach even beyond Nigeria.

  1. FIELD MISSIONS: The Sowers’ reach out strategy of going to the missionary fields for evangelism, crusades, trainings, seminars, sports / social / cultural / etc events, water baptism, Holy Spirit baptism, conflict resolutions, breaking of curses, etc. Field missions can be carried out by a group of persons or delegated individuals- such as sponsored missionaries.
  2. MONEY MISSIONS: The Sowers’ reach out strategy of bankrolling the gospel to the nations of the earth. Our financial / material gifts have no minimal or maximal constraints. It’s as the “WAR” demands.
  3. CHARITY MISSIONS: The Sowers’ reach out strategy of caring for the needy and hurting among us. We involve in the mobilization and distribution of relief materials, humanitarian aids and care gifts to those that are in dire need of such, across the earth, and by so doing, bring Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit to them.
  4. PRAYER MISSIONS: A Sowers’ missions strategy that transforms the life of a people and brings about the rebirth of a nation through effectual, fervent prayers. These missions can be on-field, off-field, organized, or separated, as the Spirit leads.
  5. THE CARPENTER’S MISSION: A builder’s approach to mission that The Sowers uses to encourage and promote ongoing missionary works on a field. It involves structural buildings, civil constructions, professional and vocational trainings and services, and more, that are geared to further strengthen missionary works in any field(s) across the earth.
